Another tick in the box!

With almost 3 weeks to go we have sold the car! I will be sad to see my little Polo go. We have travelled far and wide and she's never let me down.
Another plus is that we have 'alternative' transport to get us safely to our destination. Let me introduce to you 'Vince to Vito'!

We needed a vehicle that would suit our needs. Two adults, one child, one dog and one cat plus associated luggage would not have squeezed into the Polo. This however - bags of room!

I was thinking 'OMG!!!'

I must admit, it's growing on me. We've got a big journey ahead. Come on Vinny - don't let us down!

No Tech Tuesday

Yesterday in the Bell household it was 'No Tech Tuesday'.
Several months ago we decided, as a family, that we would give up using all our electronic devices for one day a week. It's not too much to ask is it? We are allowed to play music through either the iPod or listening to the radio. No iPad, Nintendo DS, no use of the PC and no watching television (the idiot lantern!).
I'm pleased to say its still working well. We do have the occasional moan but as soon as we get the board games out, its quickly forgotten about. It is helping our daughter to read more. We play 'Boggle' which is great for testing her spelling without her knowing too.
Why did we chose to do this? Well, our move will take us to a more unhurried lifestyle, a more outdoorsy lifestyle. One where we will spend more time together. Nowadays its so easy to lose sight of 'family time'. We thought this was a good option.
We also practice our Spanish too! It's a win-win outcome!
